Authentication​

The Terminal uses Privy for authentication. No password creation or seed phrase recovery is required — your account is managed through Privy's secure infrastructure.

Login Methods​

  1. Click "Sign in" — The button in the top-right opens the Privy login modal.

  2. Choose your method:

    • Email — Enter your email address, then check your inbox for a one-time code (OTP).
    • Google — Sign in with your Google account via OAuth.
    • Wallet — Connect an existing external wallet (e.g., Phantom, MetaMask, Solflare, Rabby).

  3. That's it. No password to create, no seed phrase to store. Your account is ready.

✅ You can link additional login methods later from your account settings.

Embedded Wallets​

Once authenticated, The Terminal automatically creates embedded wallets for you:

  • Solana wallet — used for trading, deposits, and swaps
  • Ethereum wallet — used for Hyperliquid perpetuals deposits/withdrawals

These wallets are managed by Privy and accessible only through your authenticated session. You can export your private keys from your account settings at any time.

ℹ️ We recommend exporting your private keys and importing them into a standard wallet like Phantom or MetaMask to ensure direct access to your funds.

Adding Funds​

  1. View your wallet address — Click your balance in the top-right, then navigate to "My wallet" or copy your Solana address directly from the dropdown.

  2. Deposit SOL — Send SOL from any external wallet or exchange to your embedded Solana address.

  3. Buy with fiat — Click "Buy Crypto" in the Features menu to use Privy's fiat onramp (supports card, bank transfer, and more).

Once your balance is greater than zero, the deposit onboarding step is automatically marked complete and your account is fully set up.
